some weird thing called trovigo.com has installed itself and i cant get rid of it
hi i installed a program, decided i didnt want it cos ads and pop up things kept coming up, so i dont trust it. in the agreement it said ask.com would be the new search and trovigo.com the new homepage, but i figured i could uninstall them later. i went into firefox options and www.trovigo.com was in the thing, so i removed it, and the add ons. then i did a "browser cleanup" with my avast security system and it said there is a special tool installed preventing avast from doing it, so told me to do "complete cleanup", which i did, but it doesnt seem to work. i did a full system scan, and there were no problems. but, when i open firefox, the first tab is the firefox homepage, which is ok, but if i open a second tab, it is the trovigo homepage with ask.com search thing. and i cant seem to get rid of it. i dont trust any of it and want it cleaned out. maybe there is no problem,,but i dont want it! also, each time i do a "browser cleanup", the same thing happens as described above. please help. thanks mark

If you check in Add/Remove programmes, you will probably see that an application has installed itself there. I've had issues in the past where adware has installed as a programme of some kind and won't allow you to make any changes through the browser settings. I would also recommend downloading Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software, it is free and very good at clearing unwanted applications from your system. https://www.malwarebytes.org/
Hope this helps.
