Firefox will no longer open most websites.

I don't know why this happened, but I cannot open the majority of websites on either Firefox or Chrome. Internet Explorer seems to work fine.

What I have already tried: 1. scanned for malware using Malwarebytes and 2 others recommended - no malware found. 2. deleted all browsing history and cookies 3. deleted and reinstalled Firefox 4. deleted SQLite cookie files

I can't even get Google to come up. Can someone help me figure this out? Thank you!!

It turned out to be the Norton Internet Security firewall that was blocking access. After an hour with Norton tech support, they solved it.
