With IE, I log into the bank and go to my account.. with FF.. I log in ok.. but my bank doesn't see any cookie so it brings a screen in for them to call me with a code, that I input and then I get to my account, now that should have set a cookie.. but in my cookies, I see several cookies for my bank address BUT when I went to the Permissions page, it says there are 0 cookies for that address ?? I don't get it, also when I change the setting in Privacy to "use custom settings".. click ok and then close FF.. now open FF and that changed back to the default.. ?? it isn't keeping that setting.. although to IT people at the bank I asked me to be sure it was on that setting "use custom settings" and be sure under it to allow cookies until they expire ... BUT none of it works..

I do understand computers fairly well.. but this one has been wondering what is going on ? I want to get away from IE .. I like FF much more, but the one site I really need won't work without that code every time and is troublesome...

Thanks for any suggestions... richard paquette

Cookie permissions are controlled in "Tools -> Options -> Privacy". You may have to choose "Use custom settings for history" in the "Firefox will:" drop-down menu to see more options. You may choose to accept all cookies that websites wish to set or, in Firefox 3.0 and above, you may choose to accept or block third-party cookies that are often set by other companies who advertise on those sites.

Have Tried to above... BUT... I click ok, then exit FF... open it again and it reset to "remember history", it does not save the change.. have tried many many times... each time the same thing..

I emptied all the cache and cookies.. once I did, I logged into the bank and they called one more time with a code to get into the site and register my computer as a private one etc... etc...

then closed ff and restarted FF and tried the bank and all worked, I have done this 3 times since to be sure and all is fine..

thanks you, Aman Routh.. the last suggestion of the four you sent actually worked fine...

thanks again..
