I've tried exporting my bookmarks to an html file but no file is created. Saving bookmarks to a json file works. How do I fix this? Pleas don't tell me to upgrade because the latest Firefox release doesn't support Forecastfox (which is a real bummer).

It is not Firefox that support the hundreds of Extensions but the other way.

The Forecastfox Extension has not been updated in a while as can be seen in https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/forecastfox-weather/versions/ and there supposedly is a bit newer version at http://static.getforecastfox.com/downloads/forecastfox-latest.xpi as has been mentioned in http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2859425&hilit=Forecastfox

Also right now only Firefox 32.0.3 and also the 31.1.1 ESR and 24.8.1 ESR builds are secure as earlier builds are vulnerable to a critical vulnerability. It also affects Google Chrome before 37.0.2062.124 on Windows and OS X to show it is not just Firefox, SeaMonkey and Thunderbird.

The information above was useful but didn't really answer my question. My question is why am I not able to save my bookmarks to an html file in Firefox 28.0. Is this a known problem with the application?
