Just about everything that has to do with filtering is slowed way down. Used to be, if I did a quick filter that included everything/anything except Subject, the results would pop up instantaneously in every folder. Now the results come in pieces, as if I were filtering with the Subject included.

Also, if I add a new Message Filter and then ask it to run the new filter on the folder, not only does it take forever, but it also ties the folder and the whole Thunderbird system up while it's doing it. And it can take several minutes to filter a single folder with about 2,000 messages in it!

Please fix this. It is really slowing me down!

Thank you.

Sorry, I meant "as if I had Body included" (not Subject)

And alta88, thank you for your reply, but those guys have not resolved the issue yet, even though they are discussing it. Why can't we all just take a substantial step back to the last version that worked correctly? Or at least way more correctly than this one?

Thank you.

The current production version of Thunderbird is V31 There is a V33 in the Beta channel. So your using beta software and the guys are working on a bug that has arisen in the beta phase. It sound to me like the beta process is working exactly as it is supposed to. A bug in the code has been detected before production release. A solution becomes difficult when the issue is in core, as that code is maintained for

If your unable to wait for the processes in the beta program )Including the what do you think discussions) I suggest you install a production version of Thunderbird which does not have that bug.
