Amazon say they are waiting for Mozilla to work on Kindle Fire HDX, you say you are waiting on them: can you work together?
This is part of a response I received from the Amazon team:
..."From your e-mail I understand that you would like to know when you would be able to use Firefox on your Kindle Fire HDX.
I have investigated the matter and can confirm that the Mozilla are yet to support Kindle Fire devices and have therefore not yet made a compatible version of their Firefox Browser available in our Amazon Appstore catalog. We continue to send customer feedback to Mozilla so they may consider making this app available in the future, however at this time, we are unable to verify their plans. Our apologies for any disappointment this may cause."
Can you talk to each other and get it sorted, please?

Last explanation I saw was here: Firefox for Kindle?
Last year I was able to "side load" Firefox for Android on a Kindle Fire HDX but I don't now recall the steps for that.
I really wonder how much in the loop that person is on this situation to have responded this way.
Mozilla did have Firefox (as of version 9.0) on Amazon store but Amazon modified and resigned the apk which caused problems so it was pulled shortly after.
Mozilla has contacted Amazon many times about modifying this policy. So far they have been unwilling.
Please do not comment on these bugs as they are for reading on history and progress.
