We have had bellsouth for years and not sure how we kept the same email account but it is just now giving us issues so I set up an email account and I have no idea how to set up a message so when we get emails it will forward them to the new address.

Logon to old email address webmail. Setup to forward emails from old email address to new gmail address.

You set up new mail account in Thunderbird to access gmail mail account.
