Good day,

FF version 38.0.5 and 39.0 crash during opening first website. Version 37.0.2 works just fine.

In doing a bit of research I believe the problem is with Websense Triton AP-Endpoint DLP.

In my case, and many others I saw in various crash reports, the failing module is QIPCAP.DLL.

I am running Websense Triton AP-Endpoint DLP version 8.0 Build 2081.

ID: dfe4ea5a-6efa-4215-b8b5-ff1992150703 Signature: qipcap.dll@0x7d21

Thanks very much for your help!

Chosen solution

I contacted my corporate security department. While they did not supply me with the code to disable Websense DLP Endpoint, they did confirm that there is a known issue. They instructed me to run FF 37.0.2.

Thanks, pdmozilla

If you have other reports, even from others, post those as well. Group them by user.

The crash report flagged these programs;

qipcap.dll = Websense Data Endpoint

Get and run the current full installer for the above.

There is another comment here that is also having issues with the signature software: 8.0.1 Websense DLP Endpoint

If you temporarily disable it while browsing Firefox does it continue to crash when you try to start Firefox?

Today my IT department released Websense Triton AP-Endpoint DLP version 8.1 Build 2231 and it was installed on my PC. I then upgraded FF from 37.0.2 to 42.0. So far all is well.
