Hi I have a fire fox add on which I used to sign with a versign issued certificate. The add on was installing fine till version 38. It used to show the correct publisher name. In Firefox 40 the same add on started giving error on intalling saying author not verified On 43 when I try to install it just says that add on in corrupt when I try to install it. I know now Mozilla wants all the add on to be signed through their AMO. My question will add on signed with trusted certificates like Verisign will also now show error? In other words Firefox will now not even install extensions which are signed with Verisign certificates? If this is the case should I now just stop using my Verisign cerrificate and sign the extension through AMO? This is an urgent issue for me. Please help. Thanks

Chosen solution

Add-ons for Firefox need to be signed by Mozilla. No other form of "verification" will work for add-on signing.

Hi Thanks for your reply. Can you point me to any offical mozilla documentation confirming this? That would be greatly helpful to me.
