I have an older iPad and would like to install Firefox. The app store will not let me do this. Is there a way around this issue?

Older iPads are becoming a problem but would be great for just monitoring some programs especially those that are just web pages.

I have a DVR that I am trying to set up my old iPad to display data from the DVR. The DVR does use a plug in and Chrome does not support plug ins. Firefox does support the DVR software in a PC browser.

Is there an older version I can download or get a version of the current version of FF that does not need the new features of iOS that demand iOS 8 and greater.

Thank you.

The Firefox shell browser for iOS requires 8.2+.

The iOS does not support Plugins like ex Flash, Java, Silverlight, so that plugin will likely not work. There may be an app in itunes though that can work perhaps.
