Until a few moments ago I was watching television programs in Hulu; but suddenly I received this message: "It appears that software on your computer is blocking JavaScript. To enjoy Hulu.com, you'll need to enable JavaScript in your web browser. Please configure your security software or browser plugins to allow Hulu.com to load JavaScript." A quick search led me to a support site where I found the claim that for a Mac, Firefox automatically enables JS, so I don't know what I have to do. Help! I have a MacBook Air, OSX Yosemite; I have Firefox 47.0. I do not know what my security software or browser plugins are, so please treat me just like the mechanic who fixes my car: he supposes that I don't know the first thing about the engine. Thanks!

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. Select Permissions. In the menu, Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.
