I'm getting this message on ALL emails I try to send today whether they contain attachments or not.

The alert says:

The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds a temporary size limit of the server. The message was not sent; try to reduce the message size or wait some time and try again. The server responded: Space shortage, please try later.

Thanks for taking the time to help Matt - much appreciated.

I'm with Claranet Soho - I tried via their webmail service and got an smtp 452 error code which would seem to suggest it's their problem and not TB?

SMTP error 452 means insufficient resources when you are using an exchange server. Basically the machine it over loaded. But in non exchange environments it generally means that you have sent to many email in the past hour, and exceeded the number your provider allows.

You issue however is most certainly with your mail provider.

The size limit error "can" mean that your credentials are incorrect, or that the server is refusing mail from you because it thinks you are not allowed to send. For example because oyu have sent to much mail today or based on the 452 error in the last hour.

You going to have to chat with your provider and establish what limit it is you are falling foul of. But I could see a session of "doing the books" with an accounting package and emailing invoices for the week or month might generate quite a bit of email for some folks. More than your provider allows perhaps.
