I usually uses Task Manager to close off FF and then Restore Previous Session when it get really slow due to my crappy computer. But this time the option for Restore didn't pop up.

And copying the upgrade.js and rename it into sessionstore.js don't work either, the restored session is now the start up FF page, it doesn't make sense that there is only one page since the upgrade.js file is pretty heavy (10MB), I have tried using all the other big files in the sessionstore-backups folder but none of them works.

I plan to reinstall FF and then use the rename method again to see if it works but want to ask the forum first if anybody can help.

It IS the jsonlz4 file that is causing the trouble, since I manages to get half of my sessions back after delete all the jsonlz4 files in both the profile and session backup folder.

So I decided to delete the sessionstore.js file, opened up FF and went to a bunch of sites, then exit the browser, opened it again, the previous session are now those sites.

But I discovered that FF doesn't seem to create a sessionstore.js file in the profile folder so of course me renaming and pasting those 10MB files didn't work.

Does the new version of Firefox change how Restore Previous Session works? The previous sessions still work so there have to be a file somewhere for FF to access.

Okay, the new version Firefox is definitely ignoring the sessionstore.js file since I just notice that after I exit FF, there is a new file called sessionstore.jsonlz4...
