Is there a way to set Thunderbird to consider ALL emails as junk except those sent by someone in my address book?
I am the victim of some kind of attack involving my Amazon account. I have received about 2,000 emails (so far) from different companies saying I have subscribed to various services, none of which I have asked for. But they all began right after I received one from Amazon saying that I ordered merchandise that was being sent to someone in another state as a gift. I placed no such order. The email flood appears to be an attempt to divert my attention from this one from Amazon. I am still getting hundreds of emails, all from different senders all of which seem legitimate, such as WordPress authors, shoe store newsletters, local parks departments and so on. Some are in Russian, Chinese and other languages I do not speak. I cant set my junk filter to keep them out because each email is from a new sender. I thought if I could blacklist everyone except senders who are in my address book this would stop the flood. Is there any way to do this?

I have a filter rule for "is/is not in my address book". If you don't have that, install FiltaQuilla.
