Mozzilla Quantum is unresponsive on my microsoft surface pro 3. It loads, none of the tabs respond and I cannot enther text anywhere.
It is fully unresponsive and when it does respond it takes a very long time. The features of webpages don't function and the same for quantum features

hi, thanks for reporting this. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there.
if yes, can you please copy & paste this whole section into a reply in the forum and see if the following fixes the performance problem: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.
I cannot implement this feature of quantum because it freezes up.
Probably better for you then to downgrade to Firefox ESR (52) and turn off automatic updates: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/
@Roy1950, you could try to edit the file that holds the firefox configuration manually (while the browser is closed). go to the firefox profile folder, right-click and edit the prefs.js file and add the following line:
user_pref("accessibility.force_disabled", 1);
