Not the same thing ... that option always remember all your tabs. With my option (browser.showQuitWarning) it ask if you want to save your open tabs (when you close FireFox). That is why I loved that option.

You should not need to crash Firefox to restore a session.

Firefox 63 doesn't have the browser.showQuitWarning preference any more, meaning Firefox will automatically save your session (assuming it is not set to clear history) and then executes your choice of startup behaviors:

(A) Optional/manual session restore (menu):

• menu button > Restore Previous Session
• (menu bar) History > Restore Previous Session

With this approach, you choose whether to restore your previous session at startup instead of at the previous shutdown.

(B) Automatic session restore (Options page):

• Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
• Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
• Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
• Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

It's the first checkbox on the page ("General" panel), "Restore previous session".

This approach is useful to avoid losing your session by opening/closing Firefox without restoring.

Option 'A' it restore previous session by opening recently closing tabs(windows) , not the open tabs at moment of closing Firefox (not the same thing).

Option 'B' like mention in my previous post "it ALWAYS" restore your session. Not what I want !

Firefox normally updates its session history files, including the status of what was opened and closed, as often as every 15 seconds. If you quickly close some tabs and windows before choosing Exit from the menu, Firefox might not record that they were closed. But it should be the same set of windows and tabs as using the "crash Firefox" method since it's the identical file used for session restore.

With "restore previous session" when you open firefox it does not restore automatically the session when you start it... the are some situation that you want it to restore automatically to make sure that you are not forgetting where you were OR if you start and close it again (let just say you start FF by mistake) without doing the "restore previous session" then it is LOST! because now "the previous session" will be the one you just close with no tab. Again keep in mind that the Option 'B' is not viable one. The best solution is the option that was Removed !

Correct. It Restores where you last left it, when Exiting FF, not where you were when you began a session, which could be hours or days ago. (with the exception jscher2000 mentioned about the last 15 seconds.)
