unable to add reduced photos to email

since forever I have opened windows photo viewer, clicked on the tool bar email and a new email has opened with the reduced photo attached. i have then been able to add my message and fill in address etc. Now it when I do this it comes up with a message -- Another application is attempting to send mail using your user profile. Are you sure you want to send mail? I am no long able to send multi photo emails. What is the answer, do i need to find another email app?
