Ad block used to work perfectly, but today I'm seeing ads on youtube and other sites. This began before I installed the latest FF update - which I tried after noticing ads in the hope this would cure the problem - it didn't. I first noticed the ads this morning. I'm using Win 7.

Hello Hipkit,

You should contact the developer(s) about it, as there is nothing Firefox can do about it .....

But I found this (as you mention "AdBlock") :

In case you are using "AdBlock Plus":

I'm beginning to suspect the extension has stopped working properly because the company have brought out a "Premium" product. The standard model now allows "acceptable ads".

I suppose it depends on your definition of "acceptable"!

I'll take a look at those links. I'm going to try the Ultimate Adblocker and have removed Adblock Plus for now. I'm also trying the new youtube add on, which blocks ads, but only for youtube.

Thanks.

Try tu use uBlock Origin and don't bother with this new youtube add on, it doesn't look trustworthy.

Note that "AdBlock" and "AdBlock Plus" are two different extensions, developed by different companies .....

As long as I have used AdBlock Plus it always had the option to allow acceptable ads - you can uncheck that option in ABP Settings, if you don't want to allow these ads.
