After upgrade to Firefox 74 my New Tab page cannot be customized. Top Sites (links to frequently and recently visited sites) disappeared and I cannot set them to be visible in any way.

What can be possible cause of it? Did upgrade to the newest version of Firefox (which is 74.0 64 bit) changed or deleted the way of displaing Top Sites?

I'd appreciade any help how to restore an useful tool in the newest versoin of Firefox. Thanks in advandce.

Make sure the you have enabled the new tab page. You can check that via "Options/Preferences -> Home"

You can also check browser.newtabpage prefs on the about:config page.

  • browser.newtabpage.enabled

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

1 By default, a New Tab in my Firefox 74 does not displays top sites. I can see empty, one colour field. I cannot add a Top Site or pin it.

2 Under Firefox Home Content I put a checkmark in Options and selected in the Home panel Top Sites to be vusible. Top Sites should be visible, but they are not.

3 in about:config section 'browser.newtabpage.enabled' is marked 'true'

It seems to me it is a more serious problem. Standard solutions cannot help.
