Can't connect to server

When I click "Get messages" Thunderbird fails to connect to the server and I get the message "Connection to pop3@virginmedia.com timed out" When I try to send a message I get "The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.virginmedia.com timed out. Try again." This is an intermittent problem - sometimes it works ok. On the Virginmedia website everything seems ok.

Check your setting, it might be an issue with your SMTP and POP3 settings.
