When I open Thunderbird and click on an email in my Inbox to move to another folder or want to delete it, the first email results in a pop-up that states "The message you have deleted can be purged from disk...............Select the option below to let Thunderbird do this automatically without asking you." There is a check box and 2 options "Proceed" and "Cancel". See image below. I do not want to “Remove deletions automatically. How do I get rid of this pop-up? Regards, Bob

Just accept that you do in fact want to compact... disregard the text, it is perhaps one of the most misleading collections of English language words I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.
