Hello,
I have search online for solution to my problem. of websites being blocked and going offline.
I followed the directions online that said to go to the start menu, and follow the steps to for Windows Foxfire. It is sometimes worse after I do that.
Hi Dotty1000, when the site is blocked or going offline, what message do you get? There are different solutions for these different kinds of issues:
- Cannot make a secure connection
- Did not connect due to a security issue
- Red warning page for phishing/malware sites
- Other error pages
You can copy/paste the error page text into a reply to provide more context.
Also, by the way, Firefox 86.0 is no longer supported. The current version of Firefox is 92.0.1.
Hello,
My knowledge is so limited that I am constantly in trouble, when it come to anything online.
3 Questions: How do I, ( STEP BY STEP ) check which version I have of foxfire??
If I need to upgrade, how do i ( S BY S ) do that ?? Is there any chance, an upgrade will resolve the problem??
Thanks,
Dotty

Hi Dotty,
For #1, you can confirm your current version of Firefox on the Troubleshooting Information page. It's also a good resource for other details about your Firefox. To open that page, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > Help > More Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > More Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, find the Version row. That lists your version.
For #2, try the steps in this article: Update Firefox to the latest release.
For #3, I don't know because there are many reasons you might not be able to access a site. Could you provide some of the information I requested earlier:
