Consistent Secure Connection Failed Error Message from Firefox
I am consistently getting the same error message when I try to access well known sites like google, dropbox, amazon, etc. It is:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Learn more…
Then it offers trying again which never works. Google and Chrome browsers work fine from the same computer and this is happening on several of my computers, not just one.

Given that it is happening on multiple computers, there could be one of a few problems: 1. The most common problem is 3rd party security software (antivirus) like Avast and AVG, which intercept web traffic. Try disabling/uninstalling these or reverting to the default, Windows Defender. On Windows, to check which security software is currently active, go to Windows Security (App)->Settings->Security Providers->Manage Providers. 2. It could also be a problem with your VPN/Proxy. Disable any of these you have enabled and check if the problem is resolved.

cor-el said This usually means that Firefox wasn't able to find a cipher suites to use to connect to this server and reached the end of the list. There can be two possibilities: one is that the server is outdated and doesn't support modern cipher suites, another might be that the server only supports a few cipher suites and Firefox doesn't support any of these.
You can check your browser and possibly compare this with the server setup. https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html
