Suddenly stopped receiving email in Thunderbird
Had been getting emails daily, Last email received on 12/6. Then next day and every day since when I click on Thunderbird nothing happens except I get a message that submission of password not successful. I had taken no action involving password. I had only clicked on each email to open it or delete it. How do I get my Thunderbird email account back in operation?

I just hope you check your web mail because no one from this forum will be ringing any phone number you provide, ever!
Without the exact error message you have left nothing for anyone to even begin to guess what the issue might be. Please post the exact error message. Verbatim please.
