Hi

Long-term Thunderbird user and in the past couple of months Thunderbird on my PC on connecting to my mail server goes to a time out (about a minute?) before then downloading new messages. Connecting from my laptop is instant.

The PC - which is relatively new - performs well otherwise.

Checked settings on both and they are identical, save for the laptop.being 64-bit and the PC 32-bit versions.

Any ideas for me to try?

Many thanks

Rick

Now resolved - I had a dormant address with an error in the server settings that was holding things up!

That'll do it. And it is annoying.

Thanks for posting the solution!
