My downloads stop downloading at (different downloads different percentages) usually 30-70%, and Firefox calls it finished even though it isn't, if i try to open the file that stopped midway, it is usually corrupt or (if mp3) the whole song isn't there just part of it. what's causing Firefox to stop right in the middle and call it done?

Try shutting down Firefox, then clearing your Windows TEMP folder.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox. You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work. Do not forget to re-enable the scanning in your anti-virus software after you are finished with downloading and installing. ..........
