I recently installed Firefox 3.6.6. Firefox is now my default browser, but I DO NOT WANT FIREFOX for my default browser. How do I remove Firefox from being the default? The option under Tools, Options, General, that the Help files say to use, DOES NOT EXIST.

Make another browser like IE the default.

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > "Set Program Access And Defaults" (on the left) Open: Custom (click arrow on the right) Select "Internet Explorer" under "Choose a default Web Browser" Click OK

If Firefox asks again to be the default then remove the check-mark to check that on each start. Tools > Options > Advanced > General: "System Defaults": "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup"
