I run Firefox from an installation on a flash drive when I use public computers. I want Firefox to use a homepage on my flash drive, save downloads and bookmarks on the flash drive. I can't get it to do this, even when I run Firefox from my flash drive with -ProfileManager. I change the configuration every time, but having it do this automatically would be nice, or a switch to Firefox at startup would be good too.

Are you talking about using Firefox from a USB Flash drive plugged into a Windows PC?

Have you been using Firefox Portable? Or are you fabricating your own version of Firefox on a Flash drive?

As far as Linux goes, I haven't seen a version of Firefox Portable for Linux yet; Windows and Mac OSX only, AFAIK.

I run Firefox for Windozzzzzzze from a flash drive on a Windozzze PC. I run Linux on my personal machine. All the public PCs I know run Windozze.

I didn't know about the portable version: I custom-install regular Firefox on the flash drive. I'll check out the portable. Thanks.
