Remembering passwords works OK for a new site. I have been using a different password manager and didn't want Firefox to remember passwords, but now with sync option would like to get Firefox to remember passwords of logins I once marked "never" or "not now"

Chosen solution

If you chose "not now" it should ask you every time. The only time it isn't supposed to ask is if you either did remember a password, or you told it "never."

Regardless, go to Tools -> Options (or Edit -> Preferences if you don't see 'Options' in the Tools menu) choose the 'Security' tab, then look for the [Exceptions] button and click it. There you will see the list of sites you told FF never to remember a password for. Select the one you want, or all of them and click the [Remove] button.

Revisit the site, and when you enter the password and hit enter or click to login, it should prompt you to remember this password.

Thanks much for the prompt response. I'm still not seeing some sites, but I'm guessing that's because they're financial institutions that don't want remembered passwords.
