I cannot type in the location bar. How can i fix that?

When I try to type a web address in the location bar, nothing happens. No text appears.

Try to open a new window (File > New Window) to see if that gives a working location bar. If that works then close the not working window and close Firefox (Firefox > Quit Firefox) to save that setting.
