I'm a radio DJ that often has to use news websites containing a lot of shockwave flash content. Trouble is, these pages constantly freeze, showing the error message the flash plugin is not responding; would you like to stop it, plus, Firefox crashes out of the blue rather frequently. Not sure if anyone can help me out.

Crash ID: mozalloc_abort(char const* const) | NS_DebugBreak_P | nsCycleCollectingAutoRefCnt::decr(nsISupports*)

Cheers,

Noch

Your plugins list shows that you have the Mozilla ActiveX plugin installed.

  • Mozilla ActiveX control and plugin module

The Mozilla ActiveX plugin is not compatible with Firefox 2 and 3 and you should remove it.
For instructions on how to remove the Mozilla ActiveX plugin see: http://kb.mozillazine.org/ActiveX --- Also update your plugins to the latest versions.
