How do I close the window using the 'x' in the top right hand corner?? It won't close....

I used to be able to close out the window and all tabs by clicking on the 'x' in the top right hand corner. Now it doesn't do it at all. I have to go down to the bottom of the screen to the start menu and right click and then scroll down and click close.

You can also close Firefox going into the Firefox button menu (at the top left of the screen) and then clicking "Exit".
