Since updating to firefox 9.0.1, every time I open up the browser, it opens to the "Hooray your firefox is up to date" page and then opens up my home page as a second window. Can you help?

I just can't get the browser to open up to just my home page when I click on it. It always opens the firefox browser page http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/9.0.1/whatsnew and then proceeds to open up to my home page in a second window.
