How do you disable the "Press ESC to exit fullscreen" warning from appearing when the pointer goes to the edge of the screen?

i've seen around the forums questions concerning the warning for enabling full screen, and i have no issues with the permission-giving warning.

my question is specifically when you are ALREADY in full screen, and your mouse goes to the edge of the display, and a warning that says something like:

<insert web address here> is now full screen. Press ESC to exit.

- appears. how do you remove/disable that warning? it's annoying esp. when you're playing a game and accidentally aim near the **upper edge of the screen. (i'm playing Kings Road on facebook btw lol) any help would be appreciated :)

hello and thanks for the reply, but i don't think i know how to tweak this area xD mind helping me out? i've tried only 1 thing on this (the solution for fullscreen permission removal), it didn't really work for me, so i just set it back to its default setting. i don't know how to achieve my goal though...

Hello Slaxx,

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
  3. type/find(or copy/paste from here) full-screen-api.approval-required
  4. double-click on it to make it False
  5. exit firefox and restart it

Hi slaxx, This is a really good question because I like to play games too. One way we can investigate what causes that pop up is to open up Web development tools and start the game. If you take note of the time and look at the logs that were generated at the time it can point you to the j's line that causes the browser action. Though something like this may not be an option to disable by default.

Do you happen to have any keyboard shortcuts other than the default ones?

Do you have a one monitor (display) setup or do you have more than one monitor attached?

i only have one monitor~

hmm i may have to try that.

nope, just the default shortcuts here~

this is what i tried before, it doesn't work :(

anyway, i attached a picture of what i wish to disable. that black warning there. it blocks quite a big portion of the screen.

edit: let me just clear, it appears when the pointer gets to the UPPER edge of the screen.

HI, it has been a while but I found that this is something in the Flash or Adobe software

It looks like it is built in.
