Adobe Flash Player works well in Internet Explorer but I cannot download & install it in FireFox. I always get the error message "An error has occurred in the script on this page. Line:883 Char: 37217 Error: error in loading DLL Code:0 URL:Http://127.0.0.1:53437/App/_js/main-merge.js Do you want to continue running running scripts on this page? Yes/No" Selecting either yes or no makes no difference and the error never changes. Closing the error results in a message from Adobe stating that it was unable to install the program. Their download version is now 12.0. Adobe Reader 10 downloaded & installed fine but Flash Player just won't do it.

It could be because you flash plugin is not activate. Please check your flash plugin to see if it is activated. You can find that in add-ons manager.

There is no flash plugin listed. I assume the Flash download & install should be the plugin. There is a Java activated plugin so I doubt it is causing the java script error. I am using Windows 8.1 OS for the 1st time in desktop mode and am really struggling with it!

The Flash download/install file is shown as: "install_flashplayer_12x32_mssd_aaa.aih". Am I right that 12x32 means version 12 at 32 bits? Win 8.1 uses 64 bit programming & many 32 bit ones present a problem. Do you think this could be the problem???
