Paypal uses a redirect page in its classic API that sends the user, and the user's transaction approval and other info, back to the vendor. According to Paypal, this process does not work with Firefox, because Paypal needs a POST from its redirect page but Firefox will only send a GET. (According to Paypal tech support.)

We have confirmed via direct test and log entries that we do not receive the user info back when the purchaser is using a Firefox browser. We cannot fulfill the instant access to our information without this purchaser data.

Paypal recommends we completely redesign our interface to their newer API, but since this is (they claim) a Firefox problem, I thought I'd start with you.

The issue of bad returns from Paypal has been reported on the forum previously by other users but not solved. The previous posts did not contain the information about Post vs Get, which appears to be crucial.

Thank you.

Some additional information - this may be a problem only with the Mac version of Firefox. We have not tested this with Windows and see on our logs that a Windows transaction was successful using Firefox. So if it helps, it could be a Mac only issue, or something else that is intermittant.
