If I open new sync accounts so that I can synce bookmarks from android phone to new desktop, will I lose my bookmarks in android and thus lose them all forever?
My old desktop crashed. My new desktop has the most recent version of Firefox and the new sync feature. Unfortunately, none of my bookmarks from the old desktop/Firefox transferred to the new desktop. My android phone (GS3) and android tablet both still have all of my bookmarks, but I cannot get them to sync to the desktop. I have read (and reread) the instructions for opening new sync accounts for all devices, etc. so that they are all compatible and sync will work again. I am afraid that if I do that, I will lose all my bookmarks from my android devices, and then they will be lost forever, which defeats the whole purpose of setting up new sync accounts. Can you confirm that if I open new accounts on all devices that I will not lose my bookmarks from my phone and tablet, which now have the only record that I can access to recreate them all manually (god help me)on my desktop if that is my only alternative?

Hi Tashakat, There was another user that I helped that had set up sync on a new computer with no profile that overwrote all of the profiles of the next devices. I would advise deleting the new account and setting it up on one of the android devices and selecting everything you want to be synced in order to keep the info.(And back it up if you can just in case as sync is not meant to be a backup)
I found this add on to make a copy of android profile: Copy Profile. If you have any other questions in the meantime, we are happy to help.
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, that doesn't solve my problem. I have given up and just re-entered my bookmarks manually to my desktop computer.
