I don't want to use pinned tabs, but Firefox keeps pestering me about it whenever I visit Facebook or other sites I visit commonly. There does not seem to be a way to tell Firefox "no thanks" and have it never suggest pinned tabs to me again.

Am I missing something? It sure is annoying...

hello Pillsbur, this is part of a recent experiment among firefox beta users or users who have installed the "test pilot" extension - if you want to disable that go to the menu > addons > extensions and remove the "Contextual Feature Recommender 1.0.0" entry.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
