connection reset message?
I'm having problems watching videos from youtube. Everytime I go to log onto that website, a message saying "the connection was reset" pops up. I tried doing some of the things suggested in the articles, (resetting firefox, clearing the history, cookies, catches,...) and for some reason nothing is working. Is it possible that there is something else I need to try?
Thankyou for your time:)

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.
- Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

how do i find and delete this cookie folder? I deleted all of my cookies thinking that was what I was supposed to do...
and whenever I try to download the Super Antispyware the browser takes me to another, "the connection was reset" message. so i skipped that one and went onto scanning with the other virus spyware you suggested for me
You can find the cookies.sqlite fie in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Remember, if necessary, you can always use Win IE.

Check your modem and wiring. Reset the modem. Call your provider and have them test your service.
If Firefox and IE are having problems . . . . . .
