Unable to restore previous session, restore backup.
I tend to open 6 or 7 windows with multiple tabs each. It does strain Firefox and there are times that Firefox crashes. It did so yesterday, but I was able to restore all my windows and tabs. This morning it had crashed overnight and I am unable to restore all my tabs. I have restore files, although going to OPEN MENU, HISTORY does not show the option to restore previous session. When I open HISTORY, SHOW ALL HISTORY it lists my backup files but when I choose to restore one of them (tried today, yesterday, friday, last wednesday) it gives an error: A SCRIPT ON THIS PAGE MAY BE BUSY, OR IT MAY HAVE STOPPED RESPONDING. YOU CAN STOP THE SCRIPT NOW, OPEN THE SCRIPT IN THE DEBUGGER, OR LET THE SCRIPT CONTINUE. SCRIPT: CHROME://BROWSER/CONTENT/PLACES/EDITBOOKMARKOVERLAY.JS:1017
Note: I don't have Chrome open.
I think if I could restore a backup file I could get my tabs and windows back, but it won't restore. What can I do? /Judy

Firefox uses the "chrome://" protocol to access its own internal files and also access files from extensions, so that has nothing to do with Google Chrome.
You can open such a file via the location/address bar for inspection (in some cases you need to prefix with view-source:)
- chrome://browser/content/places/editBookmarkOverlay.js
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Can you think of a reason why I am unable to restore a previous backup? I use HISTORY, SHOW ALL HISTORY and then choose the *.json file. I have restored this file in the past and it worked. I think there may have been a version change since the last time I tried the restore process.
