Firefox crashes
Crash Report ID: bp-4e94c618-428a-46fe-8cea-dbb002141102
I'm using firefox on a new PC on which the software is all up-to-date. Crashes seem to happen randomly and I've re-set firefox and tried deleting parent.lock (which seems to help for a while). I'm running in safe mode at present and no crashes for the time being. As a long term user, I really don't want to abandon Firefox - so, grateful for any help!

Do you have Avast software installed?
See:
- bug 1087674 - Firefox won't close with Avast 2015 10.0.2206 when HTTPS scanning is enabled
Hi,
Thanks, I've disabled HTTPS scanning in Avast and no crashes since. I'm now running Firefox 33.0.2 and Avast version 2015.10.0.2206 - have recent updates resolved bug 1087674? Can I now re-activate HTTPS scanning?
You can give it a try to see if Avast has fixed this for you and that Firefox no longer crashes.
Next week Monday a special Firefox 33.1 version (Firefox 10th anniversary) will be released that includes some fixes that may help with this issue.
