How can I get rid of all the advertising and only see my recent sites when I open a new tab? I don't want to see all the ads, I only want to see my stuff.

Do you actually have ads? There is currently only about two sponsored tiles, and only brand new users are seeing them. Customize your Firefox New Tab page can help you.

Ok, it is better now. I switched it to classic view and the sponsored thumbnails are gone now. At first I kept closing them and it just kept adding more. Thanks for the help.
