Why does Mozilla Firefox not find the latest uploaded URL page
Can someone please solve this mystery:
- I edited a number of my web pages today and then Uploaded the entire site using FileZilla.
- When accessing my web pages from Internet Explorer and Google Chrome browser, I see the latest version of all the pages.
- When accessing my web pages from Mozilla Firefox, a number of the old versions of the pages are accessed, whilst some are the latest uploaded version.
The problem is that Mozilla is my preferred browser, so I would like the problem resolved.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks - Roy Marnewick

Hi Roy, that's hard to say.
For visitors who don't have any pages from the site cached, they should get only what is currently available. You can emulate this by opening a new private window (assuming you aren't currently using a private window) and visiting your site in that window.
For return visitors, what is supposed to happen is if your website sent a "last modified" date along with the page, Firefox should ask the server whether there is an update before displaying the cached version. This is very hard to test, of course, because it's hard to simulate going back in time...

Firefox definitely prefers to use cached pages when it can, so that might explain it.
Do you get new pages if you either:
- Reload using Ctrl+r
- Reload bypassing cached files using Ctrl+Shift+r
Hi Jefferson
Many thanks - problem solved with either method.
The question which now arises - what will happen with other people encountering my web pages? will they now get the latest version?

Hopefully your trick will have kicked Mozilla into behaving well for all visitors to the pages.
