Firefox will NOT load, OR uninstall. Error message says "could not load xpcom".Directions say to uninstall and reload a fresh copy of Firefox.

Have attempted many times to uninstall using Programs and Features Windows Vista SP2 but uninstall is never launched, hard drive light isn't on and just sits. Also tried to uninstall in safe mode but got same results.

hello, please see if it is working with the full downloader from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ - just try installing it on top of your current setup.
