How to prevent phantom download on initialisation
Whenever I open firefox after exiting I get a mystery download called download.exe and I can't seem to work out why or where it's coming from, I ran a virus scan and haven't picked anything up.

As part of these process you may need to remove some browser extensions that you may have inadvertently installed. Unless they came with the machine or your downloaded them from a trusted source, you will find this useful in removing extensions.

Open your Downloads Manager <Control> J. Is that enter listed? What does it say?
