Trying to install Firefox and the create user profile wizard doesnt work.

I have a new laptop on which I had to do a windows 8.1 reinstall. I downloaded Firefox and installed it but now cannot get past the user profile manager. The wizard launches but when I hit the "create profile" button the next dialogue box flashes up briefly and disappears again. The pane on the right of the wizard screen is empty i.e. no profiles listed.

Can anyone help please? I dont want to use any other browser, Ive been a happy firefox user for many years.

Hello arabis325, try to find the profiles.ini file which located in the profile folder path , and delete it, to force firefox to create a new profile.

You can check if you can start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key.
