I just installed Firefox. Now every time I get an email I get a sound beep notification. This did not happen when I was using internet explorer. How do I get rid of it. The volume on my speakers are off ????

Firefox does not monitor your e-mails, unless you are using an add-on. Are you using anything to do this?

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions.

Do you want to mention what email website you're using that you have open in Firefox when this happens? Maybe someone will know whether it is an optional feature of that mail site and how to turn it off.
