Day in day out there seems to be changes to firefox. In my opinion most are not an improvement but hinderence. The tiled pages, how do I get my new tab to open with my homepage and not these stupid tiles. Gone through all the new tabs in about:config and unable to get rid of the tile. I am asking too much in just wanting my homepage, google search, to be my new tab without it being an off centred screenshot of google in a tile? it would appear that firefox will not allow those, who have chosen them, to have a choice!

Hi, from Firefox 41, you need to use an add-on like New Tab Override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the New Tab page.

Once installed, open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions, then look for New Tab Override and click on Options to set your preference.

Note, if you only want the New Tab to be the same as your Home page, you can use the add-on New Tab Homepage instead.

You may then need to restart Firefox for any changes to take effect.
