I want to change my email server to Outlook.com b but keep Thunderbird. We have Thunderbird on 3 computers, All are running Windows 10. I think there would be a problem for us if the old accounts were still there.

You do understand that doing this will make the whole account, including the messages stored in it, disappear? Move any messages that you want to keep into the Local Folders account beforehand.

What problem do you anticipate if you leave old accounts in place? The most likely issue I can think of is the nagging when Thunderbird can't connect to the old account's server.
