hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

when i open GMail it gives: JavaScript must be enabled in order for you to use Gmail in standard view. However, it seems JavaScript is either disabled or not supported by your browser. To use standard view, enable JavaScript by changing your browser options, then try again.

thanks, this shows that javascript is indeed turned off in your firefox (maybe this is part of the features of the anonymox extension you're using - i don't know). in order to fix this, enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named javascript.enabled. double-click it and change its value to true.
